Mervat's Aunt

Mervat's aunt visited us bringing her delicious date and
sesame biscuits to share. Mervat lives in the refugee
camp in Tulkarem. In 2002 she worked as a medical
emergency volunteer with the Palestinian Red Cresent
Society. Mervat told me the story of how she helped pull
the dead bodies from the rubble of homes demolished by
bulldozers during the Israeli army incursions into the city of
Jenin.
