A blessed early morning drawing Naima, a beautiful
elderly mother of Palestine, as she made eight large
circles of bread for her children and grandchildren who
live nearby in the mountain village of Battir. She gave me
a big pot of her homemade apricot and almond jam to
take home to my mother in England.
