In February 2003 the world rallied against the war in Iraq.
This image was my response to the impending massacre
of 100 thousand innocent men, women and children in the
Muslim world. It was also the starting point for my idea to
be an artist in residence in Palestine. To visually express
the beauty and culture of the Palestinian women who have
survived over half a century of war and occupation.
